Welcome to the TAMG Advanced Manufacturing Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) blog!
The Drexel VIP program embeds undergraduates on research teams with graduate students and faculty members who collaborate to tackle novel research and design problems around a theme, our being advanced manufacturing.
We will use this site to keep the public up to date with our research into advanced manufacturing techniques. We will be focusing on 3D printing and design, and will be investigating sensing and fabrication technology, and computational analysis as well.
A few learning objectives we have for this quarter include:

A few learning objectives we have for this quarter include:
- To compare and contrast advanced manufacturing processes with conventional manufacturing methods in terms of rate, cost, and flexibility
- To learn how to design components for successful use of AM. and to measure parts using three-dimensional scanning techniques
- To integrate the above objectives in a cumulative project that proposes, prototypes and evaluates a novel AM capability
