Over the past few weeks, we have been testing the printer characteristics and the quality of the parts produced. Team members have various smaller projects taking place, including the printing of different internal geometries and aerospace prototypes. Below is a picture from the internal geometry project, it is printing a hexagonal honeycomb pattern, which will be tested in the upcoming weeks.. The goal is to increase strength of the part, by the experimenting with different lattice shapes within the part itself. This will allow for a lighter construction and faster print time over a solid object. The picture below
